Education is part of our DNA

Following that notion, each year, BeMA USA supports art education by granting a limited number of scholarships to talented students or/and budding artists wishing to pursue graduate studies in the fields of Art, Fine Art, Art History, Museum Studies, Curation and Art Conservation at universities in the United States or Lebanon.

Note: This program is on hold for 2022/2023

Selection Criteria/Eligibility

Scholarships are open to Lebanese-American or Lebanese citizens already accepted into the abovementioned graduate programs. Prospective applicants should possess an excellent academic record and display notable artistic potential, especially if aiming to pursue a degree in Fine Arts.

Preference is given to those applicants demonstrating financial need; however, candidates of any background are encouraged to apply. The process is both merit and financial based, and candidates are judged on the basis of academic excellence and professional potential.

Applicants are required to submit:

• A completed application form
• A Curriculum Vitae
• An academic transcript covering the last two years of study
• A portfolio with up to 5 images of recent work, each with its respective description on a separate document.
• Two letters of recommendation, at least one from a professor
• Proof of acceptance to the academic program
• Supporting documents about financial status

Applications should be submitted online latest by April 30 every year.
Scholarship selection takes place from May 1 through July 1 annually.
Shortlisted Applicants will be invited for a final selection interview
